Bethsaida Team Meeting - January 12, 2005
Present: Jan Hardy, Oscar Mockridge, David Thomas, Daphne Thomas, Wendy Broadbent, Erik Soldwedel, Barbara Djimopoulos
Minutes and Financial report were not available.
Visitation Reports
Atonement, Tenafly – Wendy, Barbara, and Rick will work with the younger children. Erik and Jan will work with the adults and older children. The workshop is scheduled for January 23rd. The day will start with breakfast, then groups will work for 45 to 50 minutes, and everyone will reconvene for communion.
St John’s Montclair – no report, Liz out.
St Albin’s, Oakland (Erik) will meet with them on Wednesday at 10am. Church is not easy to get in and out. They are in good shape for a capital campaign.
All Saints (Erik) Cannot meet with them until after their vestry retreat when they figure out who is doing what. The meeting will probably occur in spring.
St. John’s Ramsey (Erik) – church with growing pains – no date set yet.
St George’s wants a children’s program.
Jan called Dean Williams at the Cathedral and left a message.
St James Ridgefield. Erik will meet with Mariano Garguilo. It’s a small church.
Blogging software – Barbara reiterated her call for the use of blogging software on our website so that members of the Bethsaida Team can update. Will look into it further.
May workshop
Introductory remarks will be by Rev. Bill Gaventa of the New Jersey Coalition of Inclusive Ministries.
Need to nail down speakers including Partners for Sacred Spaces.
New Business
Resolution was passed to pay for transportation for members when private transportation is not available.
