Bethsaida Team Minutes - October 20, 2004
Meeting called to order by Chairperson Hardy at 6:45 pm
In attendance; David Cates, David & Daphne Thomas, Oscar Mockridge, Erik Soldwedel and Janet Hardy.
Minutes from the July 14, 2004, Meeting was accepted as submitted.
Financial Report submitted by Chairperson Hardy was accepted.
Discussion ensued for 2005 Budget submission and it was agreed that Team Bethsaida would request the same amount for FY 2005.
BROCHURE:
– Discussion regarding the Biblical Quote was lengthy and it was decided to retain the reference to the pool at Bethsaida. The team agreed to add a reference from Mark in reference to the Temple and the Moneylenders, and this being the House of the Lord for all. David Miller agreed to work on this and will submit same to Jan and Barbara. The team agreed that it is imperative to retain our name and more important to Yoke the justice ministries.
CONVENTION:
- Resolution for Convention as submitted by Jim Warnke was amended, (see attachment). The team agreed that it is essential to have such a resolution for the 2005 Diocesan Convention to keep the work of our commission in the forefront.
- Table and workshop. It was agreed that we would have a table at convention. No decision was made regarding a workshop.
ST JOHN DIVINE Hasbrouck Heights:
- Chairperson Mockridge gave a detailed report from his meeting with The Vestry Exec Committee and Rev. Pickard at St John Dive, Hasbrouck Heights. He circulated the Advising Architects Report submitted to the Vestry at St John Divine. The report was encompassing and detailed with costs of improvements. No time table as been set to conduct the renovations as of yet.
FUNDING CONFERENCE:
- The date for this conference is, May 14, 2005. The sub committee is to meet prior to our next team meeting. Details to follow.

A/V Sub Committee:
- Chairperson appointed David Cates to form a sub committee to assist in creating a set visual presentation for the Bethsaida Team. Oscar and Erik will serve with David.
